No. 9/19 Swim & Dive Leads Mizzou Invite After Day One

COLUMBIA, Mo. – The No. 9/19 Mizzou men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams both lead the Mizzou Invite after the first day of action. The Mizzou men finished the day with 473.50 points, ahead of second place Cal Baptist with 232. The women sit with 429.50 points, ahead of second place Nebraska with 244.

TOP TIGERS

The women’s 200 free relay claimed an NCAA ‘A’ cut with a time 1:27.87. The men’s 200 free and 400 medley relays both finished with the nation’s top times of 1:17.19 and 3:06.78, respectively. Senior Danny Kovac swam the nation’s top 200 IM time of 1:42.39. Senior Sarah Thompson also recorded the nation’s top 100 fly time of 51.44 in the 100 fly time trial.

The Mizzou Invite continues Thursday, Nov. 18. Swimming prelims will start at 9:30 a.m., followed by diving prelims at noon. Finals will start at 5:230 p.m. All rounds will be broadcast on SEC Network +.
