No. 7 Wrestling Loses To No. 5 Iowa State On The Road

Colton Hawks v. ASU 2023-24

AMES, Iowa – The University of Missouri wrestling team lost to No. 5 Iowa State, 41-3, on Sunday, Feb. 25.

Due to illness and injury, Missouri (10-4, 6-3 Big 12) had a limited lineup for the dual but remains focused on getting healthy for the Big 12 Championships. Redshirt sophomore Josh Edmond took on his second top-10 opponent of the weekend, battling to the final whistle but dropping a close 10-9 decision at 141 pounds. Redshirt sophomore Colton Hawks stole the show at 184 pounds, defeating No. 7 Will Feldkamp 12-8.

The Tigers are now 12-46 against Iowa State in program history but have won four of the last six duals.

Hawks win over No. 7 Will Feldkamp marks his 13th of the season and second-ranked victory. Additionally, the bout was a rematch from the 2023 NCAAs, where Feldkamp defeated the Tiger 5-2.

The Tigers will return to Columbia to prepare for Big 12 Championships on March 9 and 10.
