NCAA SB: Mizzou Tigers vs. Texas A&M Aggies

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – No. 24/23 Missouri softball will hit the road to face No. 6/8 Alabama in a three-game series to close the regular season. The series opens on Friday at 6 p.m. at Rhoads Stadium on SEC Network +.

Saturday’s game is scheduled for 12:30 p.m. CT on SEC Network +. The regular season finale will air on ESPNU at 1 p.m. CT with Madison Shipman and Eric Frede on the call.

SERIES HISTORY

The Tide lead the all-time series 15-8. Mizzou last faced Alabama in 2019 in Larissa Anderson’s first SEC series. Alabama swept the series, scoring 28 runs over the three games.

WERT ALERT

Kimberly Wert leads the Tigers in homers with 15 on the year. She is the only Mizzou player to ever hit at least 15 home runs in three different seasons. Wert has set a career high with 49 RBI. She has driven in 23 runs in SEC play, fifth in the league.

HATTI HACKS

Hatti Moore became just the second player in Mizzou history to hit three home runs in a single game against Texas A&M. Her third blast of the night was an eighth inning walkoff shot.

BROOKE’S BRILLIANCE

Graduate student Brooke Wilmes currently holds a 10-game hitting streak. She is batting .532 with three doubles, six home runs, 12 RBI and 16 runs scored over that stretch. Wilmes kept the streak alive despite not recording a hit in the final game of the series against the Aggies. She walked three times and was hit by a pitch so she did not record an official at bat.
