COLUMBIA, Mo. – The No. 16 University of Missouri Gymnastics team opened the 2022 season with a 196.600- 193.775/191.600 win against Ball State and Illinois State Friday night in the Hearnes Center. Junior Sienna Schreiber claimed the beam title with a 9.925.
The Tigers earned the highest score ever with a 196.600. The previous highest score was 196.225, set in 2017.

- Five different Tigers made their collegiate debuts in the meet, as the newcomers provided Seven of Mizzou’s 22 routines in the meet.
- In tonight’s meet, Freshman Amari Celestine walked away with both the Vault and the floor event title.
- On Vault the Celestine led the way for the Tigers scoring a 9.875
- With the second rotation, two Tigers scored above a 9.8. Senior Alisa Sheremeta scored a team-high 9.875, while junior Hollyn Patrick scored a 9.825
- In the third rotation, three different Tigers scored a 9.9. Sheremeta scored a 9.9. Junior Helen Hu earned a 9.9 and event winners Schriber scored a team-best 9.925
- On Floor, Celestine once again led the Tigers, scoring a 9.875. Freshman Jocelyn Moore and Schriber both scored a 9.8.
