The two programs closed the 2021 regular season against one another in Knoxville. The Tigers took the final two games after the Lady Vols won on Friday night. Tennessee leads the all-time series 10-7. With Head Coach Larissa Anderson at the helm, the series is tied at three games apiece.

LAST WEEK

The Tigers played at home for the first time during the 2022 season over the weekend at the Mizzou Tournament. The hosts went 4-0 on the weekend, winning by run rule in each contest. Mizzou hit 14 home runs, including a program-record of seven in one game against St. Thomas. Nine different Mizzou batters homered on the weekend

FAB FRESHMAN

Kara Daly was named SEC Freshman of the Week after homering in each game. She finished with a .636 batting average, a double, four home runs and nine RBI in her home debut. She is the second Tiger to ever homer in four consecutive games, joining Nicole Hudson who homered in each of the first four games of the 2013 season.

PERFECTION

Laurin Krings tossed the 12th perfect game in program history against Bradley to close out the weekend while striking out 12 batters. Mizzou’s last perfect game was thrown by Chelsea Thomas on March 3, 2012 against Saint Louis. The last perfect game of six innings or longer occurred exactly 11 years prior on March 6, 2011 by Chelsea Thomas against Missouri State. Chelsea Thomas had thrown or combined for each of the Tigers’ last four perfect games. Laurin Krings is only the sixth Mizzou pitcher to throw a solo perfect game.
