COLUMBIA, Mo. — The No. 13-ranked University of Missouri gymnastics team (8-3, 2-3 SEC) is set to make its final SEC road trip to The Plains for a showdown against No. 12 Auburn (5-6, 1-4 SEC) on Friday, Feb. 23. First touch from Neville Arena is scheduled for 6 p.m. CT, and the action will be broadcast on Friday Night Heights on SEC Network.

LAST TIME OUT
  • The No. 14 Tigers traveled to St. Charles Mo. to compete in the Mizzou to the Zou quad meet, placing second in a meet featuring No. 6 Florida, Illinois and Lindenwood. 
  • Mizzou earned a season-high final score of 197.475 at Family Arena and tied the fifth-best score in program history, equaling a mark set at the Texas Woman’s Invite on March 12, 2004. 
  • The score was bolstered by a program record 49.500 on bars, as four bar swingers scored a 9.900 or higher. 
  • Senior Mara Titarsolej earned the bar title with a perfect score. Titarsolej is the first in Missouri gymnastics history to earn a 10.000 on bars and joined Lauren Schwartzman (2004) and Jocelyn Moore (2023) as the third gymnast in team history to ever score a perfect 10. 
TITARSOLEJ EARNS SEC CO-SPECIALIST OF THE WEEK
  • Thanks to her perfect 10, Mara Titarsolej became the first gymnast to earn multiple SEC Specialist of the Week honors this season.
  • The Zutphen, Netherlands, product earned her second SEC Specialist of the Week accolade, sharing the award with LSU’s Aleah Finnegan.
  • The Tigers took home their second consecutive SEC Specialist of the Week after Jocelyn Moore claimed the honors at Kentucky last week.
IN THE RANKINGS
  • The Tigers moved up one spot in the rankings to No. 13, bumping their season average up to 197.064 for the team’s highest average since the fourth week of the season.
  • The Fab Floor continues to impress ranking at No. 7 this week continuing their fourth score of at least 49.5. 
  • Missouri’s vault rankings continue to sit at No. 11 this week with a score of 49.200 with all six Tigers earning a 9.8 or higher. 
  • The bar group continues to go up in the rankings now at No. 13 this week after earning the highest- ever bar score in Mizzou gymnastics history of 49.500. 
  • Beam stands strong at No. 22 this week while earning their fourth straight 49.2 or above this season. 
MARVELOUS MARA
  • Since arriving in Columbia, Mara Titarsolej has already solidified herself as one of the best bar swingers in program history
  • Titarsolej is the first-ever gymnast in Mizzou Gymnastics history to earn a perfect score on bars along with being the third gymnast ever to receive a 10.000.
  • Just four weeks prior, Titarsolej posted the program’s best-ever bars score with a 9.975 at No. 20 Georgia, earning her first SEC Specialist of the Week award.
  • The two-time WCGA Regular-Season All-American continues to surge up the rankings by jumping 10 spots in one week to tie for No. 8 in the country with a 9.914 season average. 
IT JUST MEANS MOORE
  • Junior Jocelyn Moore continues to impress as one of the best floor specialists in the country as she earned her 10th consecutive score of 9.9 or higher dating back to last season with a score of 9.925 this past weekend. 
  • After this past weekend her average score on floor is an incredibly high score of 9.936 and is currently tied for No. 7 in the nation.
  • Additionally, the Hillsborough, New Jersey, native marked back-to-back 9.900s on bars this past weekend.
  • Moore is just one of two gymnasts in the SEC alongside LSU’s Haleigh Bryant who have earned a 9.9 or higher on every floor routine this season. 
FIRST OF MANY
  • Several Tigers set or tied their career high marks at the Mizzou to the Lou meet to contribute to the top-five program score.
  • Junior Amari Celestine claimed the floor title by tying her season best of 9.950 one week after setting that mark.
  • Graduate student Sienna Schreiber scored her first 9.900 on bars for the season and her seventh career score above 9.9.
  • Senior Kyra Burns scored her first career 9.900 on bars. 
  • This past weekend senior Amaya Marshall marked her best beam result of the season earning a 9.875.
INDIVIDUAL RANKINGS
  • Two Tiger vaulters — freshman Hannah Horton (No. 16, 9.879 average) and Amari Celestine (No. 18, 9.875 average) — are ranked in the top 25.
  • On bars, Mara Titarsolej is tied for No. 8 with a 9.914 season average.
  • Junior Jocelyn Moore is tied for No. 7 on floor with a 9.936 season average. 
LAST TIME VS. AUBURN
  • The last time Missouri and Auburn faced off came on Feb. 19, 2023 at the Hearnes Center, as the host No. 16 Tigers upset the visiting No. 5 Tigers, 197.450-196.550. 
  • Mizzou bested Auburn in all four events by scoring the second-best vault score in program history (49.450) and tying the second-best floor score in team history (49.600).
  • Jocelyn Moore became the second Tiger in Missouri Gymnastics history to receive a 10.000 overall and the first Tiger to receive a perfect score on vault. 
  • Amari Celestine and Alisa Sheremeta tied with a score of 9.950 to share the floor title. 
ALL-TIME VS. THE TIGERS
  • Auburn holds the all-time series lead over Missouri, 33-11.
  • In the regular season, the home team has won each of the last four meets.
