NCAA Track & Field Championships: Day Two

COLUMBIA, Mo. – Ayele Gerken and Sophia Rivera recorded top-10 finishes for University of Missouri track and field at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Thursday. The four-day meet is hosted by the University of Oregon at Hayward Field.

Gerken conucluded her 2022 collegiate season with a 9th-place finish in the long jump with a mark of 6.33m. Ayele performance earned her All-American honors

Rivera finished in 9th-place in javelin with a season best mark of 53.87m, she is now a two time All-American.

Curry completed her 2022 collegiate season with a top-20 finish placing 19th in javeling with a mark of 50.60m.

The men continue competition on Friday with the high jump (5:30 p.m. PT / 7:30 p.m. CT) and triple jump (6:20 p.m. PT / (8 p.m. CT).

Women’s Entries:

Saturday: Mara Häusler (triple jump)

– second outdoor championships, two total

– ranks eighth among those competing with a season best of 13.56m / 44-6

Saturday: Arianna Fisher (triple jump)

– second outdoor championships, four total

– ranks 10th among those competing with a 13.42m / 44-0.5 from the NCAA West Prelims

Men’s Entries:

Friday: Roberto Vilches (high jump)

– second outdoor championships, four total

– ranks 18th among those competing with a 2.15m / 7-0.5 from the NCAA West Prelims

Friday: Georgi Nachev (triple jump)

– third outdoor championships, fifth total

– ranks sixth among those competing with a season best of 16.27m / 53-4.5
