Mizzou Swim & Dive Splits Duals with Purdue, Michigan

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – No. 14/20 Mizzou men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams split duals against No. 6/4 Michigan and Purdue at the tri-dual meet at Purdue on Nov. 5. The No. 14 Mizzou men’s team bested Purdue 160-139, while falling to No. 6 Michigan 106-193. The No. 20 Mizzou women defeated Purdue 179-121, and fell to No. 4 Michigan 215-85.

The Tigers were highlighted by seniors Jack Dahlgren, Danny Kovac and Sarah Thompson who all took home event wins. For the men, Dahlgren won both the 100 back and 200 back, while Kovac won the 100 fly. Dahlgren and Kovac also won the 400 free relay along with freshman Grant Bochenski and junior Ben Patton.

On the women’s side, Thompson won both the 50 free and 100 fly. Thompson’s 100 fly time of 52.16 moves her into third all-time at Mizzou.
