Mizzou Soccer Fans 2022

COLUMBIA, Mo. – With the end of the summer fast approaching and the beginning of the 2023 season around the corner, Missouri soccer looks back at the accomplishments of its student-athletes in various leagues this offseason.

Kylee Simmons

Simmons played as a member of FC Dayton of the WPSL Midwest Conference and finished third in the standings with a 6-1-1 record. The West Chester, Ohio native scored two goals in a 4-4 tie against Columbus Eagles FC and totaled five goals and two assists in five games played.

Keegan Good 

Good spent her summer with KC Scott Gallagher SC, finishing third in the Heartland Conference of the WPSL with a 7-3-0 record. The Parkville, Mo. native totaled a goal and an assist in a 3-0 defeat of AFC Columbia and earned a hat trick in a 3-0 win over Lou Fusz.

Jessica Larson

Competing for Saint Louis Scott Gallagher SC of the WPSL, Larson helped the team to a 6-1-3 overall record. The club finished second in the Heartland Conference and won four-straight games to close the season. The sophomore tallied two goals and an assist in a 4-1 win over AFC Columbia.

Leah Selm

Finishing second in the Heartland Division of the WPSL, Selm helped guide Saint Louis Gallagher SC to a 6-1-3 overall record. The Mizzou captain scored two goals during the season, her first coming in a 4-1 win over AFC Columbia.

Mallory McGuire

Playing for Bavarian United SC of the USL W this summer, McGuire helped the club to a 5-5-1 record and a fourth-place finish in the Heartland Division. The sophomore transfer played in four games and made three starts before being sidelined due to injury. 

Elena Zuchowski

Zuchowski competed for Bavarian United SC of the USL W this summer. The club finished fourth in the Hartland Division with a 5-5-1 record. The sophomore scored her first goal of the season in a 4-0 win over RKC Third Coast and added another against Rochester FC.

Mia Collins

Playing for Stockton Cargo SC of the USL W League in the NorCal Division, Collins helped her team to a 7-5-0 record, placing them fourth. The sophomore earned her first summer win against Academica SC, 5-2, and totaled six games in net with a 3-3 record.

Grace Pettet

An anchor on the Racing Louisville FC backline, Pettet was named to the USL W League Team of the Month in May. The defensive unit allowed just four goals through 10 games, while the Tulsa, Okla. native scored two herself. The club finished second in the Valley Division with 8-1-1 overall record.

Rachel Kutella

Kutella was a staple in the steadfast defense of the Racing Louisville FC backline this summer. The unit allowed just four goals through 10 games. The team finished second in the Valley Division with an 8-1-1 record as the senior helped the team to a +38-goal differential.

Scarlett Thomas

Thomas played for Corktown WFC, participating in two leagues, the Michigan Premier Soccer League (MPSL) and the Women’s Super League (WSL). The club finished undefeated with a 9-0-1 record as they topped the Open Division. Contributing defensively, the sophomore helped the team to a goal differential of +46.
