Mizzou Opens NCAAs with 200 Medley, 800 Free Relays

ATLANTA – The University of Missouri men’s swimming and diving team kicked off the first night of the NCAA Championships with two relay times that rank top-10 all-time at Mizzou.

The 200 medley relay of senior Jack Dahlgren, junior Ben Patton, senior Danny Kovac and junior Kevin Hammer posted a time of 1:24.2. The Tiger squad of Dahlgren, senior Jack Dubois and freshmen Calvin Windle and Grant Bochenski recorded a time of 6:17.46 in the 800 free relay.

“We had a lot of fun tonight, and the Tigers were high energy. We moved up big time in the 800 free relay, and we are going to ride that momentum into tomorrow.”

UP NEXT

Three individual Tiger swimmers will compete Thursday morning. Kovac and Patton will both swim in the 200 IM prelims, followed by junior Carlo Lopez in the 1-meter prelims. The Tigers will finish the day with the 200 free relay.
