COLUMBIA, Mo. – The University of Missouri gymnastics team enters the 2022 season ranked No. 16 in the Women’s Collegiate Gymnastics Association 2022 preseason poll, the organization announced on Friday.

The Tigers welcome five newcomers that made up the nation’s fourth-ranked recruiting class. Eleven Tigers return for the 2022 season, featuring All-American on beam Helen Hu. “We are so excited about the season on the horizon,” Head coach Shannon Welker said. “With the talented young women that comprise our freshmen class and returners, we expect to be a very competitive and fun team to watch this year. Our team members have set higher goals for themselves!”

The Tigers begin the 2022 season on Friday, Jan. 7, when they host a quad meet against Ball State, Illinois State and Southeast Missouri.
