COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou Baseball (14-34, 7-20 SEC) closes the 2021 regular season with a crucial SEC series against Auburn (23-25, 8-19 SEC) at Taylor Stadium beginning Thursday, May 20.

Thursday’s series opener features a 6:30 p.m. CT first pitch. Mizzou will celebrate Senior Day on Friday night prior to another 6:30 p.m. start. Saturday’s season finale is set for a 2 p.m. first pitch.

All three games of the series will air on SEC Network+. Fans can also tune-in to KTGR (105.1 FM, 100.5 FM, 1580 AM) to catch the Tigers throughout the entire 2021 season with Tex Little and Matt Michaels on the call.

TICKETS AVAILABLE

Mizzou athletics announced Wednesday that Taylor Stadium will return to full capacity this weekend. Tickets for all three games of the Auburn series are available at mutigers.com/tickets. Fans can also purchase tickets at the gate on gameday.

The matchup

• Mizzou is officially 10-5 all-time against Auburn. The teams have met 17 times with a pair of Mizzou wins vacated in 2016.

• Mizzou has never lost a series to Auburn with the Gold & Black taking 2-of-3 in each of the five previous series.

• Mizzou and Auburn are meeting for the first time since 2018. Mizzou earned a series victory with wins in games two and three that season, including a one-hit shutout in the series finale.

HOOVER ON THE LINE

• Both Mizzou and Auburn enter the weekend with their Hoover hopes at stake in the final series.

• Mizzou trails Auburn and Texas A&M by one game entering the final series. The Gold & Black needs to at least win the series to have a chance at Hoover.

• A Mizzou series win and a Texas A&M series loss vs. LSU would send Mizzou to Hoover.

• A Mizzou sweep and any result other than a Texas A&M sweep would also see the Tigers headed to Hoover for the SEC Tournament.

MANN IS MASHING

• Mizzou third baseman Luke Mann continued his hot-hitting on Tuesday with a 2-for-2 game and a home run.

• Mann has now hit in four-straight games and has back-to-back outings with multiple hits and RBI along with a home run.

• At Mississippi State, Mann finished the weekend with a 2-for-3 performance with a home run and four RBI to help the Tigers take the series. He also tallied an RBI in Thursday’s opener.

• Mann is second on Mizzou with 25 RBI this season and leads the club with six homers.
