Mizzou Baseball Summer League Update

Each of the major collegiate baseball summer leagues are now in action after the Cape Cod League began play on Father’s Day. Below is an update on returning Mizzou players currently in action across the various summer leagues.

APPALACHIAN LEAGUE

  • Tre Morris – Princeton WhistlePigs
    • Hitting .350 through 11 games with three doubles and six RBI
  • Trevor Austin – Greeneville Flyboys
    • Third on team with 10 RBI through 13 games
    • Two doubles, two triples and a home run
  • Austin Troesser – Greeneville Flyboys
    • 1-0 with a 1.35 ERA through four appearances
    • 13 K in 6.2 IP, .091 BAA
  • Ross Lovich – Pulaski River Turtles
    • Hitting .316 with four doubles, four triples and a home run
    • Riding five-game hitting streak
  • Garrett Rice – Pulaski River Turtles
    • Batting .314 with three doubles, a home run
    • Nine RBI in 14 games played
  • Jackson Beaman – Pulaski River Turtles
    • Batting .245 with eight RBI and 12 hits in 13 games played
  • Zach Hise – Pulaski River Turtles
    • 8.1 IP in two starts
    • Six K to two walks
  • CJ Cepicky – Danville OtterBots
    • .333 OBP with nine walks in 45 plate appearances
  • Brenner Maloney – Danville OtterBots
    • 13 K to two walks in 6.1 IP

CALIFORNIA COLLEGIATE LEAGUE

  • Torin Montgomery – Healdsburg Prune Packers
    • Nine RBI in nine games played
    • Two doubles, a triple and a home run
  • Nick Schmit – Lincoln Potters
    • Five RBI and three runs scored through seven games

CAPE COD LEAGUE (Opening Week)

  • Spencer Miles – Wareham Gatemen
    • Yet to appear
  • Luke Mann – Hyannis Harbor Hawks
    • 1-for-2 on opening day
  • Trae Robertson – Hyannis Harbor Hawks
    • 1.1 IP on opening day

COASTAL PLAIN LEAGUE

  • Jacob Kush – Holly Springs Salamanders
    • 2.41 ERA in 18.2 IP over four appearances
    • Struck out 18 hitters while walking just two
  • Ty Wilmsmeyer – High Point-Thomasville HiToms
    • Four runs and two RBI in eight games
    • Earned win with 5.1 IP allowing just one ER on two hits on Sunday

MLB DRAFT LEAGUE

  • Drew Garrett – State College Spikes
    • 15 K in 8.1 IP
    • .161 opposing batting average

NORTHWOODS

  • Ben Pedersen – Duluth Huskies
    • 1-0 in four starts
    • 18.0 IP with 12 K and 6 BB

PROSPECT LEAGUE

  • Kyle Potthoff – Cape Catfish
    • 0-1 with a 4.37 ERA in five starts
    • 24.2 IP with 18 K
