COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou Athletics and Veterans United are proud to announce the return of the Mizzou Youth Experience for the 2021 football season. The program has introduced over 2,000 underserved children from across Missouri to the college environment each year, showcasing that a college education is firmly within reach.

The Mizzou Youth Experience is envisioned to utilize a Tiger football game and tailgate as a catalyst to an all-day campus experience that includes learning workshops facilitated by different MU colleges. Working in coordination with the Missouri College Advising Corps, future Mizzou Youth Experience attendees will also receive positive reinforcement and encouragement following their campus visit that hopefully will culminate with them continuing their education and training following their high school careers.

Due to health and safety considerations this fall, the program will be modified while still providing students the opportunity to visit the MU campus and a Mizzou Football game. K-12 schools may register their student body for the Mizzou Youth Experience by calling 1-800-CAT-PAWS and speaking with a Mizzou Athletics representative. Once a school is registered, students may request up to two (2) tickets for themselves and a guardian to attend the Mizzou vs. Central Michigan football game at Memorial Stadium on Saturday, Sept. 4. No buses will be provided for 2021 program. Mizzou Youth Experience T-shirts will be available for K-8 students, while supplies last.

The Mizzou Youth Experience is part of the larger Mizzou Inclusive Excellence Initiative (MIEI), which the two partners have collaborated on to positively impact the areas of racial equity, diversity and inclusion, and community impact. More information the MIEI is available here.
