The Missouri men’s basketball team looks to extend its winning streak with a road SEC contest at Mississippi State. First tip in Starkville is set for Saturday at 5 p.m. on SEC Network.

ABOUT THE TIGERS
• Missouri is 17-5 and 5-4 in SEC action – receiving votes in both national polls.
• The Tigers have won their last three games with SEC victories over Ole Miss and LSU sandwiched around a win versus No. 12 Iowa State.
• Kobe Brown leads the Tigers with a team-best 16.5 points and 6.0 rebounds per game.
• Five Tigers score 10-plus points as D’Moi Hodge (14.3), DeAndre Gholston (10.4), Isiaih Mosley (10.0) and Noah Carter (10.0) follow Brown’s lead.
• Nick Honor leads Mizzou with 3.1 assists.
• Mizzou ranks ninth in the country with a scoring offense of 83.3, while allowing 75.4 points.

• The Bulldogs own a 14-8 overall record with a 2-7 mark in SEC play.
• Mississippi State has won its last two games with victories over No. 11 TCU and South Carolina.
• Tolu Smith leads the Bulldogs with 14.5 points and 8.2 rebounds per game.
• Dashawn Davis has a team-leading 3.3 assists.
• While the Tigers own a top-10 scoring offense in Division I, Mississippi State ranks ninth nationally with a scoring defense of 59.0 points.
• The Bulldogs score an average of 65.6 points.

SERIES HISTORY
• Mississippi State owns a 12-5 advantage in 19 meetings between the two schools.
• The Bulldogs have won six straight in the series and 11 of the last 12. They are also 8-1 at home and have won seven-straight in Starkville.
• Last year, the Bulldogs earned two wins over MU in a three-day span to sweep the season series

TOP MARKS IN 2022-23
• The Tigers are enjoying one of their best seasons in years during the 2022-23 campaign.
• With a 17-5 overall record and with at least 10 games left, Missouri has already has its most wins in a season since totaling 20 in 2017-18.
• It hasn’t come easy for the Tigers either as the team’s four ranked wins are tied for its most in the last 11 seasons.
• MU finished its non-conference campaign with a 12-1 mark – its since also going 12-1 in 2013-14.

RECORD BREAKERS
• Mizzou has put its stamp on its record book during the first half of the SEC season.
• In their win over Ole Miss on Jan. 24, the Tigers hit 16 triples – its most in an SEC game in school history (previous record was 14).
• Mizzou added its SEC record with 26 assists on Wednesday versus LSU – topping its previous standard of 21.

ON FIRE FROM THREE
• Behind the team’s three-game winning streak is hot shooting from beyond the arc.
• In their last three games, the Tigers are making a blistering 49.4 percent from 3-point range (43-87).
• In fact, Mizzou’s 43 triples during the last three games are its most in any three-game span in school history. It is also the first time connecting on at least 13 3-pointers in three-straight games.
• Overall, MU is second in the SEC in both triples per game (9.4) and 3-point percentage (35.8).

STAY HOT, KOBE BROWN
• Kobe Brown is currently playing some of the best basketball of his career.
• In his last 10 games, Brown is averaging 20.4 points – shooting 57.1 percent from the field and 52.5 percent from 3-point range (21-40).
• The senior has led the team in scoring in eight of the 10 games during the stretch.
• Brown leads MU with 16.5 points, while ranking second in SEC during league play with 19.1 points.

EFFICIENCY FOR BROWN
• Efficiency has been a large key to success for Kobe Brown his senior season.
• In Wednesday’s win, Brown scored 26 points on 10-of-11 shooting (5-of-6 from 3-point range).
• Brown leads the SEC and ranks 32nd in the country with a field goal percentage of 58.7, while also adding a 3-point clip of 47.6.
• The senior is scoring 1.62 points for every field goal attempt, ranking 18th in the country with an effective field goal percentage of 65.7.
• Brown is one of only three players in DI shooting at least 55 percent overall (5.0 FGM per game) and 40 percent from three (1.0 3PM per game).

TOP-10 SCORING OFFENSE
• Overall, one of the biggest keys to success this season for Mizzou is owning a top scoring attack.
• Mizzou enters the game ranked ninth nationally with a scoring offense of 83.3 points.
• In fact, the Tigers’ 83.3 points rank as the sixth-best mark in their history and highest in 33 years.

TARGETING 70 POINTS
• While the Tigers are averaging well over 80 points this season, the magic number is just 70 for MU.
• MU has won its last 20 games when scoring at least 70, including a perfect 15-0 mark this year.
• On the opposite end, Mizzou is just 1-5 this year when held under the target – losing 23 of its last 24 games overall with 69 or fewer points.
