Men’s Lacrosse Opens Season on Sunday

Notes:

• This is the first meeting between the two schools.
• Aquinas is currently 1-0 on the season after defeating (RV) Webber International in double overtime, 9-8.
  • The Saints were scheduled to play Missouri Baptist on Saturday in St. Louis, but that game was canceled due to weather.
• The Cougars are 3-1 all-time in season openers and will open the season at home for the fifth-straight season.  

 
2022 Season Highlights:

• Columbia was ranked No. 5 in the NAIA Men’s Lacrosse Preseason Coaches’ Poll.
• Eight of the 15 opponents are currently ranked or receiving votes.
• Conference play begins on March 9, when the Cougars host Saint Mary (Kan.).
• The Cougars, the reigning Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference (KCAC) Men’s Lacrosse regular-season and tournament champions, took the top spot in the 2022 KCAC Men’s Lacrosse Preseason Coaches’ Poll.
