QUOTABLES
Tommy Boone on playing on home course
“I think it brings a little more confidence just kind of knowing what to expect on this golf course. We still have some things to learn about over the next couple few days how it’s playing. It’s nice to get some familiar looks out there.”

Alfons Bondesson on confidence level right now
“I’ve been playing good. I played great in the last tournament even though I didn’t finish how I wanted. The game is still there and I know I can go out here next week and shoot a low round.”

Charlie Crockett on last week at the Wyoming Cowboy Classic
“I thought the team played great, Obviously, we were playing a course that none of us have played before. The conditions were definitely tough and I thought the team did great grinding out and hanging in. Unfortunately, it didn’t go the way we wanted to but I thought it was still a solid performance from playing a course that we’ve never played before.”

Jack Lundin on improving during spring season
“We’re now just getting into the groove of playing tournament golf and I think and we’re all more ready to compete each and every week.”

Dawson Meek on recent tournaments
“I’ve played some good golf and I’ve played some bad golf. It’s all about learning because I haven’t been in those situations before we’re I’m playing really well early. It’s nice to see my game trending in the right direction and I just need to be better mentally these next few weeks.”

Antonio Safa on last week at Wyoming Cowboy Classic
“It was a great week during this past tournament, not only for me but for the team. Even though we didn’t finish like we wanted to, there were a lot of positives for the team. We played great the first two rounds and I think we learned a lot. I think there were a lot of positives for me.”

Dagbjartur Sigurbrandsson on playing home tournament
“I’m excited for the tournament and I think all of us are pretty excited for this tournament. The team is playing good and I think the expectation is to win the tournament.”

DJ Springer on playing at Old Hawthorne
“I think eliminating distractions and also playing the course like a normal day. We’ve all played this course a hundred times. We know how to play it. I think there is a little element to not overthinking it and just go out and playing like you usually do. Treat it like a normal round and normal tournament – nothing really special.”

Coach Mark Hankins on home tournament
“I’d like to encourage everyone to come out and watch. It’s free admission. Monday we play pretty much the entire day with a 9 a.m. shotgun with 36 holes continuous play. There are 14 teams out here and some individuals. It’s a really nice field and we have a lot of Power 5 schools from around the region and around the country. We’re looking forward to getting to play our home golf course and getting to see some of our fans and families.
