Men’s Golf Finishes Play at The Williams Cup

The Missouri men’s golf team wrapped up play during the fall season, placing eighth as a team at The Williams Cup in Wilmington, North Carolina.

Senior Jack Lundin continued his strong play during the fall campaign, placing 11th in a field that featured four schools ranked in the top 20 nationally. Leading the team for the third time in five events, Lundin finished with a two-over 218 over 54 holes (74-71-73).

Sophomore Alfons Bondesson placed 16th overall with a four-over 220 (69-73-78), while senior Charlie Crockett carded the low round of the day for the Tigers with a 72, competing a three-round total of 225 (78-75-72).

As a team, the Tigers placed eighth overall with a combined score of 891 with No. 1 North Carolina, No. 2 Auburn and No. 6 Arizona State finishing as the top three in the competitive field.

Mizzou returns to action in the second semester, competing in the National Invitational Tournament on Jan. 29-30.
