Men’s Golf Continues Campaign in South Carolina

University of Missouri Tigers golf travels to Bluffton, South Carolina, to compete in the Colleton River Collegiate on March 4 and 5.

TOURNAMENT INFO
The action begins on Monday morning at 7:15 a.m. CT with 36 holes of action before wrapping on Tuesday with the final round, starting at 7 a.m. CT.

COURSE OVERVIEW
The Colleton River Collegiate will tee off from the Nicklaus Course at Colleton River, an 18-hole course in Bluffton. The par-72 course measures over 7,100 yards.

SCOUTING THE COMPETITION
The field features 14 teams, including No. 36 Chattanooga, No. 46 Indiana, Minnesota, Penn State, Rutgers, two-time defending champion Georgia Southern, Memphis, Iowa State, Kansas State, Cincinnati, Middle Tennessee State, Howard and host Michigan State.

2023 COLLETON RIVER RECAP
The Tigers placed sixth of 12 schools at the 2023 Colleton River Collegiate, finishing ahead of a pair of ranked teams in No. 28 Ohio State and No. 25 Cincinnati. Alfons Bondesson led the Tigers with his first collegiate top-10 finish, placing second overall.

LAST TIME OUT
Mizzou enters the tournament coming off of an eighth-place finish at the Southern Highlands Collegiate in Las Vegas. The Tigers competed against a loaded field of 15 schools, finishing ahead of five teams in the top 50 – No. 17 New Mexico (ninth), No. 29 Georgia (10th), No. 30 Texas A&M (11th), No. 50 UNLV (13th) and No. 4 Arizona State (14th).

MOVING UP IN THE RANKINGS
The Tigers remain at No. 34 in the NCAA Division I Rankings in the Feb. 28 update after beating the five top 50 teams in Las Vegas. Senior Jack Lundin placed fourth overall, moving up to 18th in the individual rankings in the country, nine spots higher than the last rankings (27th on Feb. 21).
