Men’s Golf Completes Second Round at Mirabel Maui Jim

The Missouri men’s golf team improved its team score by 11 strokes during the second round at the Mirabel Maui Jim Intercollegiate, carding an 11-under 273 on Saturday.

Sophomore Virgilio Paz led the Tigers for the second-straight round with a five-under 66 to move to seven under overall. The sophomore carded five birdies on the day with zero bogeys to his name, improving his place by eight spots to 18th after two rounds of play.

Senior Jack Lundin is second on the team at four-under (70-68), followed by Adam Miller at even par (72-70), which included his first collegiate under-par round on Saturday. Dagbjartur Sigurbrandsson (73-69) and Charlie Crockett (74-71) rounded out the day for MU.

Overall, Mizzou is in 12th place in the team standings with Auburn leading the field at 41 under.

Junior Trevor Mierl also wrapped up play at Maui Jim Individual at Legend Trail, placing 13th of 35 golfers at five-under (69-68-74).

The final round begins Sunday at 10:40 a.m. CT.
