The Missouri men’s basketball team is set to play at Pittsburgh in the inaugural ACC/SEC Challenge, announced by the conferences on Wednesday.

In a matchup of two NCAA Tournament teams from a season ago, the schools will meet for the first time on a basketball court. The game is slated for Tuesday, Nov. 28 with a 6 p.m. CT first tip. Network designations will be announced at a later date.

Mizzou is coming off a successful 2022-23 campaign where the Tigers finished with 25 victories – their most in 11 seasons. Missouri also claimed their first NCAA Tournament victory in 13 years and advanced to the SEC Tournament Semifinals for the first time in school history.

The Tigers return two starters from last year’s team, while adding a top-five transfer class and a top-30 freshman class to their roster.

Pitt finished the 2022-23 campaign with a 24-12 record with a 14-6 mark in ACC play, placing third in the conference standings and earning the school’s first NCAA Tournament bid since 2016. At the NCAA Tournament, the Panthers defeated Mississippi State and Iowa State before falling to Xavier in the second round.
