Lacrosse Travels to Take on Spartans in KCAC Matchup

St. Louis, Mo. – The Columbia College lacrosse team traveled to the campus of Missouri Baptist University to take on the Spartans to open the KCAC conference season. 

The Cougars and Spartans were tied at half, 4-4, before the Spartans used four third quarter goals to take an 8-5 lead. 

Heading into the fourth quarter and trailing 5-9, Kai Garriock scored quickly to cut the Spartan lead to 9-6. 

Zach Baker would score next to close the gap to two, 7-9, but MBU responded quickly to go back up by three goals, 10-7. 

CC would score two more goals from Kai Garriock and Matthew Cessna, but it would not be enough as they would fall to MBU 11-9.
