Columbia, Mo. – The Cougars of Columbia College took on the Owls of William Woods in an American Midwest Conference double-header today.

The Cougars got off to a fast start in game one as they lead 6-0 at the end of the first. From there, the Cougars scored one run in the second and one in the third to lead 8-0 heading into the fourth. After the Owls scored twice in the top of the fourth, the Cougars responded with an inside the park home run from Sophia Angel that included three RBI, giving CC the 11-2 lead. Three outs in the top of the fifth earned Columbia the game one win.

Game two saw a back-and-forth effort from both teams.
