Jacksonville Tabs Foster In Round Four Of NFL Draft

DETROIT – University of Missouri offensive lineman Javon Foster was selected by Jacksonville with the 114th pick in the fourth round of the NFL Draft.

He is the third Mizzou player drafted by the Jaguars and the first since quarterback Blake Gabbert (Round 1, 2011). Foster joins former Mizzou standouts Mitch Morse and DJ Coleman in Jacksonville.

Foster was a three-year starter for the Tigers, finishing his collegiate career with 38-consecutive starts at left tackle. He participated in Senior Bowl activities, turning heads with an impressive performance through the week.

The Detroit, Michigan, native was named a 2023 First-Team All-Southeastern Conference selection (AP and Coaches), in addition to 2023 Third-Team All-America honors (AP). Foster finished his 

In 2023, the Tiger offensive line allowed just 1.67 sacks per game, while scoring on 54-of-55 trips to the red zone on the year. The offense ranked 25th in the nation in total offense (442.9 ypg) while surpassing the 500-yard mark for total offense in five occasions. The entire line was named semifinalists for the Joe Moore award, honoring the most outstanding offensive line units in the nation.
