COLUMBIA, Mo. – University of Missouri head soccer coach Stefanie Golan announced Friday, June 9, graduate transfer Alycia Morin will be joining the Tigers for the upcoming 2023 season.

“We are excited to add a player with Alycia’s experience,” said Associate Head Coach Andy Stoots on Morin. “She is a talented athlete and has a nose for the goal. We are happy she is a Tiger!”

Morin comes to CoMo from Boston College, where she appeared in seven games for the Eagles in 2022. Prior to her time in Boston, the forward played three years at Bishop’s University (U SPORTS) in Quebec. The Montreal native netted her first goals as a Gaiter in a 3-3 draw with the Concordia Stingers, an effort that earned her Robert Lafond Bishop’s Athletes of the Week honors. Additionally, she earned Academic All-Canadian honors for the 2020-21 season.

“I chose Mizzou to pursue my university studies because I was looking for a stimulating environment where I could bring out my academic and sporting potential,” said Morin. “During my visit, I was impressed by the academic and sports facilities and the family atmosphere. I immediately felt at home and confident. Therefore, I remain convinced that Mizzou is the place where I can achieve my goals and surpass myself, whether as a student or as an athlete.”

The striker will join the team ahead of the 2023 season and work toward a Certificate in Taxation while looking to inspire young female athletes to take risks and get out of their comfort zones.
