Frank Named to Preseason All-SEC First Team

Hayley Frank

COLUMBIA, Mo. – University of Missouri Women’s Basketball graduate forward Hayley Frank has earned preseason All-Southeastern Conference Preseason First Team honors as announced by the league office on Monday.

The accolade was voted on by each of the league’s 14 head coaches.

For Frank, the honor is the latest in her decorated collegiate career. Last season, the forward led the Tigers and ranked ninth in the conference with 15.4 points per game while adding 4.3 rebounds. Frank, an extremely efficient scorer, is converting  46.6 percent of her attempts from the floor, 41.0  percent of her shots from beyond the arc and is second in the conference knocking down 84.9 percent of her attempts from the charity stripe.

The Strafford, Mo. native scored 20 or more points on 10 occasions, including a season-high total of 26 points in a pair of contests against Tennessee on Jan. 22 and Alabama on Feb. 5.

Frank moved into the upper echelon of program greats as she climbed from 34th to ninth on Missouri’s all-time scoring leaderboard during the regular-season campaign.

In addition to also landing on the preseason all-conference second team a season ago, the graduate has previously been recognized on the 2019-20 All-SEC Freshman Team, 2021-22 All-SEC Second Team and 2022-23 All-SEC Second Team.

Frank and the Tigers open up the new season at 11:30 a.m. on Nov. 6 against Belmont.
