COLUMBIA, Mo. – The Southeastern Conference announced the women’s basketball Players of the Week on Tuesday. University of Missouri forward Hayley Frank and guard Lauren Hansen were named the Co-Players of the Week for the conference.

The two Mizzou standouts scored 21 points apiece in the Tigers’ 70-69 overtime victory over No. 1 South Carolina. Mizzou earned its first win over an AP No. 1 team in program history.

After Frank’s layup with 40 seconds remaining cut the Carolina lead to one, the Tigers had one possession to take the lead. Hansen received a screen from Frank and drove to the bucket for a lay-in with 0.1 seconds remaining on the clock to give Mizzou the historic victory.

In the contest, Frank was an efficient 7-of-8 from the field and 3-for-4 from beyond the arc. Hansen grabbed a career-high seven boards in the win. Both players recorded a career-high in minutes played with Frank logging 43 minutes and Hansen playing 42.

Frank is averaging 15.1 points, 4.8 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game. She is shooting 45.7 percent from beyond the arc and 86.5 percent at the free throw line.

Hansen is averaging 11.2 points, 2.4 rebounds and 1.1 assists per game. She is shooting 38.8 percent from three and 76.5 percent at the free throw line.

This week’s award marks each player’s first weekly award. Frank and Hansen join Aijha Blackwell and Izzy Higginbottom as weekly award winners for this season.
