Four Cougars Earn AMC Weekly Awards

St. Louis, Mo. – The American Midwest Conference has announced their weekly player of the week recipients. Ellie Rockers, Luisa Ferreira, Macie Lucas, and Emily Strunck all earned AMC Player of the Week honors for their efforts over this past week. 

AMC Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week
Macie Lucas, Columbia (Mo.)

• Scored three goals and added an assist on the week.
• Her first two goals of the week came against Stephens (Mo.).
• Added a goal and an assist in the win against William Woods (Mo.)

AMC Volleyball Attacker of the Week
Ellie Rockers, Columbia (Mo.)
Jr. | OH | Jefferson City, Mo.

• Had 17 kills in the Cougars 3-1 win against then-No. 4 Missouri Baptist.
• Hit .293 in the match.
• Added 14 kills and two blocks.

AMC Volleyball Setter of the Week
Luisa Ferreira, Columbia (Mo.)

• Recorded 40 assists in the Cougars win against then-No. 4 Missouri Baptist.
• Averaged 10.0 assists per set.
• Leads the AMC in total assists and assists per set.

AMC Women’s Golfer of the Week
Emily Strunck, Columbia (Mo.)
Sr. | Scharbeutz, Germany

• Finished first at the SFCC Roadrunner Invitational.
• Shot a 9-over-par (79) in round one.
• Followed with a 10-over par (80) in the final round.
