Four Cougars Earn AMC Player of the Week Honors

St. Louis, Mo. – The American Midwest Conference has announced their weekly player of the week recipients. Jackson Schrum, Greta Haarmann, Emily Strunck, and Cameron VanLeer each earned AMC Player of the Week honors for their efforts this past week.
 
Men’s Soccer Defender of the Week
Jackson Schrum, Columbia (Mo.)
Sr. l D l Desloge, Mo.

• Anchored the Cougar defense which held Central Baptist to just one shot on goal.
• Produced two shots on goal against the Mustangs.

 
Women’s Soccer Defender of the Week
Greta Haarmann, Columbia (Mo.)
Sr. l D l Jefferson City, Mo.

• Helped the Cougar defense by not allowing any shots in their shutout against Central Baptist.
• Added one shot against the Mustangs.

 
Men’s Golfer of the Week
Cameron VanLeer, Columbia (Mo.)
Gr. l Pacific, Mo.

• Finished first individually in the CC Cougar Classic and was named All-Tournament Team.
• Produced a score of 138 (69-69).
• Helped lead the Cougars to a first-place team finish.

 
Women’s Golfer of the Week
Emily Strunck, Columbia (Mo.)
Gr. l Scharbeutz, Germany

• Was the individual champion at the CC Cougar Classic, her third-straight first-place finish this season.
• Recorded a 153 (71-82).
• Helped secure the first-place team finish for Columbia.
