Eight Tigers Notch Personal Bests at John McDonnell Invitational

COLUMBIA, Mo. – University of Missouri Track and Field claimed six podium spots at the John McDonnell Invitational on Friday in Fayetteville, Ark.

Ryder James claimed first in the 3000m with a time of 8:29.82.

Atina Kamasi and Kaesha George earned a one-two finish in the javelin at 47.91m (157-2.0) and 44.91m (147-4.0), respectively. George’s mark is the second consecutive personal best for the junior.

Mirieli Santos took home the triple jump crown for the Tigers with a leap of 13.04m (42-9.50).

NOTABLE RESULTS

  • Euphenie Andre posted a personal best mark of 12.93m (42-5.25) in the triple jump
  • Robert Hines (22.30) and Marc Poland (22.51) each ran career-best times in the 200m
  • Quinton Brown claimed fourth in the high jump clearing a personal best 2.06m (6-9.0)
  • Petar Canak took first in the long jump with a personal-best mark of 6.91m (22-8.0).
  • Zachary Charles (53.28) and David Buckner (53.78) earned career bests in the 400m hurdles
