Diving Team Sends Three Tigers to Auburn Diving Invite

Columbia, Mo. – The University of Missouri diving program makes its second trip to the state of Alabama this season, this time to The Plains for the Auburn Diving Invite in Auburn, Ala. The first three sessions on Sunday, Dec. 17 to Tuesday, Dec. 19 will begin at 11 a.m., while the men’s platform session on Wednesday, Dec. 20 is set to kick off at 10 a.m.

Mizzou, along with host Auburn, will be competing against members of the Illinois and Kentucky diving squads.

MU will send three divers to the invitational — Collier Dyer, Kayla Wilson and Kamryn Wong. The trio of divers last competed in the Mizzou Invite, with Dyer earning career highs in all three diving events, highlighted by a 373.65 mark in the one-meter that escalated him to seventh all-time in program history at the event.

AT AUBURN DIVING INVITE

  • Missouri makes its first trip to the Auburn Diving Invite since the 2019-20 season.
  • The four-day event features the one-meter, three-meter and platform dives, along with a team event Sunday afternoon.
  • Dyer and Wilson earned SEC Diver of the Week honors during their previous trip to The Yellowhammer State earlier this season.

LAST TIME OUT: AT MISSOURI STATE

  • The swim and dive team outlasted Missouri State for the 15th straight time during a trip to Springfield on Dec. 2.
  • The Tigers managed to occupy 62 percent of all podium positions, winning 17 individual events.
  • Grant Bochenski claimed a trio of victories against the Bears, topping the podium in the 200 free, 50 back and 100 IM.
  • Missouri swept the four relay events to start and finish the meet.
