Day 2 & 3 Recap | U.S. Olympic Team Trials — Track & Field

Arianna Fisher at the 2021 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships

EUGENE, Ore. — Mizzou Track & Field sophomore Arianna Fisher set a new school record in the women’s triple jump at the U.S. Olympic Team Trials — Track & Field Sunday night at Hayward Field on the campus of the University of Oregon.

Fisher, who also holds the women’s indoor triple jump school record, jumped a personal record 13.57m (46-6.25) on her way to finishing seventh in the event final. Her mark was good for the third best amongst American collegiate at the trials.

The women’s outdoor triple jump school record switched hands for the third time this season, with Fisher holding the record twice. She initially broke the mark at the SEC Outdoor Track & Field Championships in May with a 13.54m mark. The record was reset by freshman Mara Hausler the following meet — NCAA West Preliminary Championships — with a 13.56m mark.

Volunteer assistant Gabi Jacobs competed in the women’s discus final on Saturday afternoon, fouling on each of her attempts.

The U.S. Olympic Trials – Track & Field will be streamed and televised on NBCSN and NBC during each day of the competition. For a full meet schedule, follow the link.
