Darius Robinson Named SEC Defensive Lineman of the Week

COLUMBIA, Mo. — University of Missouri football student-athlete Darius Robinson was named Southeastern Conference Defensive Lineman of the Week for the second time this season, the league office announced Monday.

Robinson also earned the honor on Oct. 16. Mizzou knocked off No. 13 Tennessee on Nov. 11, thanks to a suffocating performance by the defense in a 36-7 win. In the second half, the defense pitched a shutout – forcing four punts and a pair of fourth-quarter turnovers that turned into touchdowns, and a missed 41-yard field goal on UT’s final possession. Robinson continued a series of standout performances, recording a sack for the sixth consecutive games. He leads the team with 6.5 sacks and added two tackles and a QB hurry against the Vols.

MU held one of the nation’s most explosive offenses to seven points, the Vols lowest scoring output in the Josh Heupel era. It was the fewest points the Tigers have allowed since shutting out Vanderbilt in 2020. The Vols were limited to under 83 rushing yards, marking the first time they have been held under 100 yards since their matchup with Georgia in 2022 and their lowest total overall since 2021 vs. UGA.
