Cross Country Places Sixth and Seventh at Gans Creek Classic

COLUMBIA, Mo. – The University of Missouri Cross Country women finished sixth while the men compiled a seventh-place result at the Gans Creek Classic on Friday morning.

Senior Marquette Hanson and sophomore Isabelle Christiansen paced their respective Tiger squads. Hanson was first across the line in the Mizzou XC Opener, while Christiansen has led Missouri across the line in all three races this fall.

TOP TIGERS

Hanson posted a time of 24:00.5 to take 13th. Freshman Drew Rogers and sophomore Blake Morris finished next for the Tigers placing in 22nd and 46th. Sophomore Jack Warner and freshman Tyler Freiner rounded out the Missouri top five.

Christiansen came across in 21:00.7 placing herself 24th. Senior Reilly Revord and freshman Kaia Downs finished back to back in 40th and 41st with sophomore Ginger Murnieks close behind in 44th. Senior Mikayla Reed placed 55th to bolster the team score.
