Cross Country Places Second and Fifth At Gans Creek Classic

23 9-29 XC Gans Creek Classic

COLUMBIA, Mo. – University of Missouri Cross Country women finished second while the men compiled a fifth-place result in the Gans Creek Classic on Friday morning at the Gans Creek Cross Country Course.

The Tiger women finished with a point total of 112, while the Missouri men came home with a point total of 116.

Sophomore Drew Rogers and Graduate Student Mikayla Reed led the way for the Tigers. Rogers crossed the finish line in 14th, while Reed finished 12th.

TOP TIGERS

  • Rogers was the top-finishing Tiger with a time of 24:29.9 for the second consecutive race this season. 
  • Logging a 18th place finish, redshirt-freshman Ryder James impressed once again with a time of 24:37.3.
  • Junior Quentin Worley placed 21st overall, recording a time of 24:42.0 
  • Reed, led the way for the women finishing 12th with a time of 21:25.5
  • Fourth-year Tiger Jenna Schwartz crossed the line in 21st place with a time of 21:43.0. She has been the second-highest finisher for Missouri in back-to-back races to open the season.
  • Freshman Nicole Louw in her second race as a Tiger, finished 22nd overall with a time of 21:43.5.
