Cross Country Announces 2023 Schedule

Gans Creek

COLUMBIA, Mo. – University of Missouri Cross Country announced its 2023 schedule on Wednesday, releasing the dates of a six-race slate.

The Tigers, under the leadership of new coach Kyle Levermore, will host a pair of races at the Gans Creek Cross Country Course to begin the season with the Mizzou XC Opener on Friday, Sept. 1 and Gans Creek Classic on Friday, Sept. 29.

The Tigers road campaign begins Oct. 14 at pre-nationals in Charlottesville, Va. The competition also marks the end of the regular season.

“We are incredibly excited to begin the 2023 cross country season,” Levermore said. “We have a strong group of returning athletes and some newcomers who will provide depth and experience to the roster. The Mizzou XC Opener and the Gans Creek Classic will allow us to continue to display our program’s first-class facility to our city and to visitors from around the nation.”

The SEC Championships are slated for Oct. 27 in Columbia, S.C., while the NCAA Midwest Regional Championships will take place on Nov. 10 in Stillwater, Okla.

Missouri will conclude the year with a trip back to Charlottesville on Nov. 18 for the NCAA Championships.
