Cougars Win Third-Consecutive Tournament Title

COLUMBIA, Mo. – The Columbia College women’s golf team won their third-consecutive tournament title of the fall season at the Columbia Cougar Classic this afternoon. The Cougars slated a 642, one stroke ahead of NCAA D2, Lincoln University (Mo.).
 
After 36 holes of action, Elin Stenbeck tied for first with a score of 81-77 (158), which resulted in a head-to-head playoff. Stenbeck finished just shy of claiming the top spot.

Lillian Knipfel followed two strokes behind scoring a 79-81 (160). Knipfel and Stenbeck were each named to the All-Tournament Team.

Columbia returns to action October 23-24 at the Roadrunner Invitational in Sedalia, Mo.
