Cougars Win on Senior Day, Take Series Against Owls

Columbia, Mo. – The #23-ranked Cougars of Columbia College played games two and three of their series against the Owls of William Woods University today to close out their regular season. The bats were hot in game one as Columbia registered 18 hits in a 14-4 win, but the Owls’ pitching staff was much improved in game two as the Cougars were help to just nine runs, winning 9-3. 

The two wins move Columbia to 36-12 overall and a final American Midwest Conference record of 19-2, while the Owls fall to 24-22-1 overall and 11-10 in conference play. The Cougars will enter the AMC Baseball Tournament next week as the #2-seeded team and will play the winner of #3 vs. #6.
