Cougars Take Home First Place Team Finishes

Jacksonville, Ill. – The Columbia College men’s and women’s track & field teams each took home first place finishes in the Jim Green Invite hosted by Illinois College this weekend.

 

The Cougar women edged past William Woods (Mo.) by two points, while the men produced a seven-point victory over runner-up Illinois College.
 

Khristen Bryant continued her dominance in women’s pole vault, achieving a new school record with a 4.00-meter vault along with a first place finish. Further, Bryant broke the facility record at Illinois College; making her the first female to jump four-meters in the building. 

 

The Cougars took home five first place finishes in Jason Parker (Men’s High Jump – 1.81m), Khristen Bryant (Women’s Pole Vault – 4.00m), Madeline Burton (Women’s Triple Jump – 10.69m), O’Donnell, Ashrafzadeh, Brinkmann, Homfeldt, Schultz, Burton (Women’s Distance Medley – 13:22.97), and Carter Brocato (Men’s 3,000-Meter Run – 8.53.78).
