Cougars Split with Mustangs

JOPLIN, Mo. – The (RV) Columbia College baseball team concluded their time at the Joplin Tournament with a douleheader match up against Morningside (Iowa) this afternoon.

The Cougars split with the Mustangs, dropping game one, 2-1, while taking game two, 5-3.

Game One Stat Tracker:
MU def. CC, 2-1

  • Braden DeSonia added one stolen base and the lone Cougar run, with one home run
  • Four Cougars produced one hit
  • Kam Dohogne pitched 5.1 innings, recording three strike outs

Game Two Stat Tracker:
CC def. MU, 5-3

  • Nick Fleckenstein and Cayden Nicoletto each went 2-for-3 at the plate
  • Cayden Nicoletto and Tyler Renn drove in two RBI
  • Pierce Hartmann pitched 4.0 innings, striking out four

The Cougars return to action at the Central Methodist Tournament beginning February 22 at 10:30 a.m.
