Cougars Split Day Two of CC Three Teamer

COLUMBIA, Mo. – The (RV) Columbia College baseball team split their final day at the CC Three Teamer, coming up short in a hard-fought battle against (RV) Doane (Neb.), 4-2, while picking up a 4-2 victory over Culver-Stockton College (Mo.).

Game One Stat Tracker:
(RV) Doane def. (RV) CC, 4-2

  • Braden DeSonia and David Dell recorded one hit and one RBI
  • Braden DeSonia stole one base
  • Alex Grellner produced five strikeouts in 5.0 innings pitched

Game Two Stat Tracker:

  • Tyler Renn went 2-for-3 at the plate, recording one double and one triple, along with two RBI
  • Five Cougars produced at least one hit
  • Pierce Hartmann threw 5.0 innings, recording six strikeouts
  • Cayden Nicoletto was credited with the save with 0.2 innings pitched, striking out two for the final outs of the contest

Columbia is back in action at the Joplin Tournament February 17 as they take on Grand View (Iowa) at 3:30 p.m.
