Columbia, Mo. – The Columbia College softball team continued its dominance against American Midwest Conference (AMC) competition with a run rule win over Hannibal-LaGrange on day two of the AMC Tournament.
The Cougars have now won 20-straight games and have reached the 30-win plateau for the fifth-time in six years (team won 12 games in 2020 when the season was cut short due to COVID after 14 games).

The Scoring:
- T2 (CC): Taylor Barnes and Mackenzie Kasarda hit back-to-back RBI triples, followed by a run scoring single from Emily King (CC 3, HLGU 0)
- T3 (CC): Abigail Pringer knocked a double to left field brining home Skyler Kauble. (CC 4, HLGU 0)
- T4 (CC): The Cougars scored three runs thanks to a couple of errors and a solo homer from King (CC 7, HLGU 0)
- T5 (CC): Kasarda singled home Barnes and later scored on a double from Avgustina Arbova. (CC 9, HLGU 0)
Inside the Box:
- Four players had two hits for the Cougars – Taylor Barnes, Mackenzie Kasarda, Emily King, and Avgustina Arbova.
- Kasarda and King drove in a pair of runs each.
- Ella Schouten went four innings in the circle with three strike outs and allowing two hits.
- Alyssa Roll tossed a perfect inning with two strikeouts.
Up Next:
The Cougars and Trojans meet again on Thursday, May 5 in the AMC Tournament. Due to incoming weather the game has been moved to Battle High School and will begin at 11:00 AM.
