Cougars Place Third at Eagle Invite

BELTON, Mo. – The Columbia College bowling team brought home a third place finish at the Eagle Invite over the weekend.

Columbia averaged 165.8 across 16 Baker games, producing a game-high of 200 along with games of 190, 187, 186 and 185.

The Cougars fell in the opening round of match play to No.6 seed Kansas Wesleyan, 2-0 (188-167, 157-147).

Columbia placed three in the top-20 for the second consecutive week as Jordyn Czerw led the way finishing fifth. Czerw finished with a score of 922 over five games, grabbing All-Tournament honors for the fourth time in her career.

Emma Shaner came in with a 10th place finish, collecting a career-best tournament average of 180.

Breanne West secured a 19th place finish, her third top-20 finish of the year. West recorded an average of 170, making it her fourth-straight tournament averaging 170 or higher.

Columbia will return to action February 3 at the the NAIA West Regional I.
