Cougars Open Season at College of the Ozarks

POINT LOOKOUT, Mo. – Coming off their second-ever American Midwest Conference (AMC) tournament title and a National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Opening Round Championship game appearance, the Columbia College baseball team is looking to pick off where they left off. 

The Cougars opened their 2024 campaign with two wins over College of the Ozarks (Mo.) this afternoon, improving to 2-0 on the season.

Game One Stat Tracker:

  • Dan Fick was credited with the win, with 4.0 innings pitched, striking out two
  •  Caden Nicoletto led Columbia with two hits and one RBI
  • Five Cougars recorded one hit
  • Columbia produced four runs on seven hits

Game Two Stat Tracker:
CC def. CofO, 13-3

  • Reece Clapp recorded the win with 4.0 innings pitched, blanking six batters
  • Braden DeSonia, Tyler Renn, and David Dell each hit home runs
  • Braden DeSonia led the Cougars at the plate (3-for-4), adding two RBI
  • Tyler Renn collected three RBI

Columbia returns to action tomorrow, February 2, to complete the four-game series against College of the Ozarks beginning at 12:00 p.m.
