Cougars Move Win Streak to 14 With Win Over Pirates

Parkville, Mo. – The Columbia College baseball team was back in action today with a non-conference matchup against the Pirates of Park University. The Cougars defeated the Pirates earlier this season at home, 12-1. 

Columbia got off to a hot start and lead 9-1 after the first inning. They added three more runs in the third, including a home run from the NAIA leader, Cayden Nicoletto. 

CC tacked on three more runs with one in the fifth, one in the sixth, and one in the seventh to take the win, 15-1. 

The Cougars will now return home for another weekend conference series. Columbia will take on Central Baptist College in a three game series at Atkins Park with a double-header on Friday and a single game on Saturday.
