Cougars Knock Off Bees

Lacrosse vs. Midland

Davenport, Iowa – The (RV) Columbia College men’s lacrosse team traveled to the campus of Saint Ambrose University for a matchup against the (RV) Fighting Bees in KCAC play. Columbia was 0-2 last season against SAU, including a season-ending loss to the Bees in the KCAC tournament. The Cougars left no doubt today as they rolled to a key KCAC win over the Bees to bring themselves level this season at 2-2.

Columbia started the game strong as they led 6-1 after the first quarter with goals from John Thomas, William Rusk, Ethan Houston, Matthew Cessna, and Tyler Parrott. More goals from Parrott and Houston in the second had the Cougars leading 8-1 at the half.

SAU looked to bring themselves back into the game as they outscored CC 4-3 in the third, but it would not be enough as three fourth quarter goals helped secure the win for Columbia, 14-6.
