Cougars Kick Off CC Three Teamer

COLUMBIA, Mo. – The (RV) Columbia College baseball team competed in the CC Three Teamer today, going 1-1 on the day. The Cougars dropped game one to (RV) Doane (Neb.) 8-3, while picking up a win against Culver-Stockton (Mo.) 11-9 to close out the day.

Game One Stat Tracker:
(RV) Doane def. (RV) CC, 8-3

  • Tyler Renn recorded two hits and one RBI
  • Nick Fleckenstein and Riley Poutlon each added two hits
  • Reece Clapp added six strikeouts in 3.0 innings pitched

Game Two Stat Tracker:
(RV) CC def. CSC, 11-9

  • Indy Stanley went (2-for-3) at the plate, knocking out two home runs with three RBI
  • David Dell stole two bases on the night
  • Indy Stanley tied his career-high of home runs in a single game with two 
  • Braden DeSonia recorded two hits and one triple
  • Grant Burson (2.2 innings pitched) was credited with the win adding four strikeouts, while Alex Grellner (0.2 innings pitched) collected the save

The Cougars conclude action in the CC Three Teamer tomorrow at 12:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. at Battle High School.
