Cougars Fall on Road to Trojans

Upland, Indiana – The Columbia College Cougar lacrosse team traveled to Taylor University to take on the Trojans in non-conference action. 

The Trojans got on the board first with a goal from Will Saxby just under three minutes into the game. The Cougars responded with a goal of their own as Zach Baker scored off of a pass from Fletcher Wood. 

Columbia would take the lead after another goal from Zach Baker at the 5:45 mark. Taylor turned on the offensive pressure and scored four answered goals to take a 5-2 lead at the end of the first. 

Fletcher Wood scored the first goal in the second quarter for CC while Matthew Cessna netted goals four and five for the Cougars. 

Columbia outscored Taylor 3-2 in the third quarter with goals from Drake Morrissey and Matthew Cessna. 

Taylor scored two more goals in the fourth quarter and played to a 12-8 win over Columbia.
