Cougars Drop Non-Conference Match to Eagles

ELGIN, Ill. – The No. 23-ranked Columbia College men’s soccer team competed on the road in a non-conference matchup against Judson University (Ill.) this afternoon, falling to the Eagles 1-0.

Nearing the 37th-minute, Judson got on the board with a goal from Anthony Cordova, assisted by Gabriel Trevisan, 1-0.

Columbia nearly tied the game as a shot from Cooper Allen hit the post in the 74th-minute.

The Eagles outshot the Cougars 11-7 on the day, while Columbia posted four corner kicks in comparison to two from Judson.

Alejandro Molto Munoz made four saves on the day.

The Cougars move to 5-3-4 on the season and 1-1-1 in conference action. Columbia looks to get back in the win column against Harris-Stowe State (Mo.) at home on October 14 at 2:30 p.m.
