Cougars Drop Game to Lyon in AMC Tournament

O’Fallon, Mo. – The Columbia College Baseball team falls to Lyon in the American Midwest Conference (AMC) Baseball Tournament.

The Scoring:

• B1 (Lyon): A solo home run gave the Scots and early lead (CC 0, Lyon 1)
• T2 (CC): Riley Poulton and Kole Ficken earned RBIs (CC 2, Lyon 1)
• B3 (Lyon): The Scots regained the lead on a two-run double (CC 2, Lyon 3)
• B4 (Lyon): A sac fly scored another Scots run (CC 2, Lyon 4)
• B6 (Lyon): Lyon continued to add to their lead with a four-run inning (CC 2, Lyon 8)
• T7 (CC): An error allowed a run to score for Columbia (CC 3, Lyon 8)
• B7 (Lyon): The Scots scores twice in the seventh (CC 3, Lyon 10)
• B8 (Lyon): Lyon added three to end that game.

 
Inside the Box:

• Devyn Lopez, Kellen Williamson, and Riley Poulton hit doubles for the Cougars.
• Poulton and Ficken recorded RBIs.
• Lopez reached base twice with a double and a walk.
